Lockdrop

What is a lockdrop?

Lockdrops are a mechanism that allow users to lock capital into Chai Money Market for a duration of 3, 6, 9, or 12 months and earn CHAI rewards. Lockdrops can be viewed as a form of an airdrop; however, instead of rewarding our users based on previous actions, they are rewarded based on a commitment to use our protocol. This model revolutionizes the initial public token launch ecosystem, allowing Chai to achieve an impartial launch while bootstrapping liquidity for our money market.

How does it work?

Users lock their Money Market interest bearing tokens (chUSDC, chUSDT, chETH, etc.) for a period between 3-12 months. Once the lock period has elapsed, users can withdraw their CHAI rewards and 100% of their initial deposit along with any accrued interest. Longer lock durations result in a higher multiplier and receiving proportionally more CHAI rewards.
